For the fifth straight year, the AMCA once again participated in the World Of Wheels show at the Calgary Round-up centre, and what a show it was! It takes great dedication and quality workmanship on the part of the participants, yet appeals to "car nuts" of all ages. On display were many fine examples of stock, classic, muscle cars, customized and altered, street rod, and original restored vehicles.
Pat Potter has acquired a new Club banner, "American Motors — The Last of the Independents", that was part of the AMCA display. All the Club members agreed that the slogan was appropriate, as the "old school" of automobiles is slowly being replaced by the newer marquees and models. To our credit, the AMCA presented cars from 1978 and earlier, in an attempt to maintain a prescence of vehicles from a by-gone era.
Entrants from the AMCA were:—
